As a privately held firm, our structure is intentionally simple. Investment management and planning are handled in-house, without reliance on outside managers, model marketplaces, or layered advisory teams.
Client relationships are designed to be long-term and consistent. Over time, this allows for a more complete understanding of each client’s financial circumstances, priorities, and preferences.
Decision are made with that understanding. As circumstances evolve, investment and planning decisions are made with the benefit of context developed over years, not in isolation at a single point in time.
We believe this continuity supports better outcomes through discipline, alignment, and informed judgment.
How the Firm Operates
Most large advisory firms operate through multiple layers such as relationship managers, investment committees, and centralized models. While this structure can be efficient at scale, it often separates advice from implementation.
Our approach is different.
Clients work directly with the professionals responsible for managing their portfolios and coordinating planning decisions. The same individuals who understand the client’s situation are responsible for the decisions that affect it.
Investment strategy, tax considerations, and financial planning are evaluated together rather than in isolation. This allows decisions to reflect both the broader financial picture and the details that are often overlooked in more segmented structures.
Over time, this continuity supports more consistent and informed decision-making.
Independence and Alignment
Tackett Wealth Management operates as an independent, fee-only fiduciary firm.
As an independent firm, we are not affiliated with a bank, brokerage firm, or investment company. This independence allows portfolio decisions to be made without influence from proprietary products, sales incentives, or platform constraints.
Clients compensate the firm directly for advisory services. We do not receive commissions, sell investment products, or accept third-party compensation.
Client assets are held with an independent qualified custodian, typically Charles Schwab. This provides a clear separation between asset custody and investment advice.
Investment Approach
Our investment approach is grounded in academic research and long-term market evidence. Portfolios are broadly diversified and managed with an emphasis on discipline, tax awareness, and consistency over time.
We do not rely on short-term market forecasts or speculative strategies. Instead, portfolio decisions are guided by structured methodologies and client-specific considerations.
The objective is not to predict markets, but to manage portfolios in a way that supports long-term financial goals.
